AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On Wednesday night, March 19, 2025, coinciding with the 19th of the holy month of Ramadan and the Qadr Night vigil ceremony at Safi Mosque in Rasht, Ayatollah Reza Ramezani delivered a speech. Referring to the significance and status of the Qadr Nights, he said, “A person should conduct himself in such a way that every night becomes his Qadr Night.”
Emphasizing that solitude with God leads to personal transformation, the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts stated, “Solitude with God on the Qadr Nights is a review of one’s deeds.”
Highlighting the virtues of the Qadr Nights, he added, “The Qadr Night is a night of reviving the heart, mind, intellect, and human Fitrah. It is a night of pursuing and discovering one’s identity, essence, and individuality in the presence of God.”
Stating that the hearts of Iranians are interwoven with the love of AhlulBayt (a.s.), the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “The people of the Islamic Republic of Iran are the nation of Imam Ali (a.s.) and Imam Hussain (a.s.), and they hold a special regard for the Infallible Imams (a.s.).”
Referring to the beginning of the new Solar Hijri year (1404), he added, “The new year is an opportunity to resolve conflicts, reconcile, and strengthen family ties.”
Stressing the reinforcement of the noble tradition of family visits during Nowruz, the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Experts stated, “Alongside Nowruz gatherings, the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan must also be preserved this year [due to their coincidence]).”
Emphasizing the necessity of fulfilling religious obligations (Wajibat) and avoiding prohibitions (Muharramat), Ayatollah Ramezani asserted, “Performing obligatory acts with the intention of seeking closeness to God brings a person nearer to Him.”
He then spoke about devotional obligations, stating, “There are certain devotional obligations, such as prayer, that must be practiced wholeheartedly and in full compliance with religious rulings.”
Referring to the rewards and blessings of fasting, the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Experts stated, “The greatness of fasting is sometimes neglected.”
“Ramadan is an extremely blessed and grand month,” Ayatollah Ramezani said. “One must welcome the month of Ramadan and then bid it farewell with utmost reverence.”
Pointing to the negative effects of hypocrisy in performing devotional acts, he added, “Hypocrisy diminishes and sometimes entirely erases the greatness, virtue, and blessings of devotional acts.”
Emphasizing that deeds for God must be performed with sincerity, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Whenever an action is done for the sake of God’s pleasure, it will be accompanied by divine reward.”
Stating that sincerity is the criterion of worship, Ayatollah Ramezani added, “Sincerity in the presence of the Almighty God leads to individual and social prosperity and elevation.”
Emphasizing the necessity of acquiring knowledge, he added, “True knowledge is reaching and perceiving divine illumination, and a person must attain this level of mysticism.”
The representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Experts said, “A true believer has a unified outward and inward self. Some, despite having a refined and virtuous outward appearance, possess a corrupt and wretched inner self. They are the enemies of God.”
In the end, Ayatollah Ramezani said, “Sincerity is the gateway to felicity and success. Without sincerity, no human endeavor will bear fruit.”
