 Houthi leader stresses escalation by Saudi aggression obstructs peace efforts

Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi met on Monday with Martin Griffiths, the UN envoy to Yemen.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi met on Monday with Martin Griffiths, the UN envoy to Yemen.

During the meeting, he stressed that the repeated attacks by the US-Saudi aggression, including continued air strikes and military repression, hinder all efforts that are being made to achieve peace.

In the meeting, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi stressed that the siege is the cause of the humanitarian and economic disasters effecting the Yemeni people. He, also, reminded the UN envoy of the importance of overcoming the lack of progress in the prisoners and detainees exchange issue. He explained the urgency of finding solutions for all war prisoners.

It is noteworthy that this meeting is the second of the UN envoy with Sayyed Abdulmalik within ten days.
