ISIS claims responsibility for Baghdad bombing

AhlulBayt News Agency - The ISIS has claimed responsibility for a car bomb attack in a Shiite area of Baghdad that killed at least 64 people and left nearly 90 injured.

According to Iraqi police, a bomb exploded after it was placed in a parked car.

One witness said the bomb was in a pickup truck loaded with fruits and vegetables that was parked by a man who quickly disappeared among the crowded outdoor market area. The deadly attack took place Sadr City, a Shiite area north of the Iraqi capital.

The ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack in an unverified statement on social media, saying it was targeting Shiite military members gathering in the area.

The terror group carried out back-to-back market bombings in the same area in February, killing at least 73 people.
