Bahraini military vehicles, deployed in the capital Manama's Pearl Square after a deadly police raid on protesters, began pulling out on Saturday, a condition the opposition has set to begin talks.
The army "will deploy outside Manama and the police will restore order," an official told AFP requesting anonymity as a row of tanks left the square and started heading west.
Meanwhile, Bahraini police fired tear gas Saturday to disperse an anti-regime protest at Pearl Square in the capital Manama, shortly after the army pulled out of the area.
