Ministry of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education has strongly condemned the massacre of over 220 children, including 168 schoolgirls in city of Minab, following the US-Israeli attacks and described the crime as clear violation of human rights.

In a statement released on Tuesday، the Center for the Youth, Family Health and Schools of the ministry said that according to clear international rules, including the Children Rights Convention (items 38 - 39), targeting children during wars is described as a crime.

Also, based on the Geneva Convention (additional protocol 1977, items 4 and 48), any attacks on the children equals to war crimes, the statement added.

The ministry also added that according to UNICEF, children must not be sacrificed and any massacre of the children during wars is described as human rights violation. However, 168 innocent school kids in Iran’s southern city of Minab, who were neither soldiers nor politicians were brutally targeted with bombs fired by the so-called defenders of human rights, while sitting in their classrooms.
