Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei, the Judiciary chief and member of the Temporary Leadership Council, says all Iranian bodies are in full agreement to continue attacks against positions inside regional countries, which are being used in the ongoing aggression against Iran.
“Currently, evidence from the Iranian Armed Forces indicates that the territory of some regional countries is being used—both openly and covertly—by the enemy, and that attacks against Iran are being launched from those locations. Heavy strikes against those targets will continue, and this strategy is already being implemented, and the government and other branches of the system are in full agreement,” the judiciary chief said on Saturday.
He said that Iran has historically maintained good neighborly relations and respect for its neighbors, and has often come to their aid during disasters and emergencies.
However, he added, one principle remains clear and constant: Iran will not strike anyone who has not attacked it, but under international law, the right of legitimate self-defense for a country that has been attacked is recognized and emphasized.
The United States and Israel launched a war of aggression against Iran on February 28, assassinating Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and top military commanders, despite indirect nuclear negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
The two regimes have also killed more than 1,200 civilians, including children, and attacked non-military sites, among them schools and hospitals.
Within the framework of its legitimate response, the Iranian Armed Forces immediately initiated decisive missile and drone strikes against US bases in the region and targets in Israel.
