FM spox describes US-Israeli attacks on Iran as crime against humanity

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has described the US-Israeli attacks on Iran as not only a crime against international peace but also against humanity.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has described the US-Israeli attacks on Iran as not only a crime against international peace but also against humanity.

In a post on his X account on Thursday, Baqaei reacted to Ed Markey, the US Democratic senator, who said, “Donald Trump is waging an illegal war and he has no plan to end it.”

Baqaei said, “… and based on his ‘feeling’, the United States chose to wage ‘an illegal war’ on the Iranian nation ‘on behalf of Israel (as Marco Rubio admitted).”

He added, “This is not only a crime against international peace but also against humanity.”

The US and the Israeli regime launched joint military aggression on Iran on February 28 some eight months after they attacked the country in June last year. Both attacks came as Tehran was in the midst of diplomatic talks with Washington over its peaceful nuclear program.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was assassinated in a US-Israeli terrorist airstrike targeting his residence and office early on Saturday (February 28).

On the very same they they deliberately targeted a school of between 6-12 years of age twice and killed 165 people, including schoolgirl and the school staff.
