AhlulBayt News Agency: While the American and Israeli officials thought that during their aggression on Iran by assassinating the top political and military leadership in Iran and striking the military and security infrastructures they could immediately bring Tehran to its knees, after four days of war the course of developments shows that all of their calculations have been a mistake.
The combined operations of the armed forces, led by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Iranian Army, along with extensive attacks on dozens of targets in the occupied territories and American bases in the Persian Gulf, clearly indicate that the battlefield is proceeding according to the Islamic Republic's plans. There is no sign of compromise or surrender to the aggressive enemies; rather, the widespread, precise, and targeted operations demonstrate that Tehran holds the upper hand.
Iran realizing its war aims against aggressors
In the past four days, the US and the Israeli regime have carried out extensive airstrikes against military and civilian areas, inflicting damage on Iran. However, the Iranian armed forces responded decisively from the very first hours of the assault, fulfilling their pre-announced promise to target all military bases and political centers of the U.S.-Israeli enemy with missile and drone attacks.
So far, hundreds of missiles and drones have struck the occupied territories and US bases across the region. The Iranian armed forces are targeting every corner of the occupied territories and any point in Arab countries where Americans have taken refuge, despite various layers of missile defense. Media outlets like The Washington Post have acknowledged that the quantity and type of Iran's missiles are highly concerning. The New York Times, analyzing satellite images related to Iran's attacks on US positions in the region, noted that Tehran has identified Washington’s vulnerabilities, targeting many secret and unofficial facilities related to the American missile defense and intelligence systems constructed in seemingly residential areas.
On the other hand, a significant number of ballistic and hypersonic missiles fired at the US and Israeli positions during the four days of conflict indicate the presence of a powerful arsenal within Iran. Iran is prepared with sufficient weaponry even for extended confrontations, officials in Iran asserted.
This comes as, contrary to claims by Trump that there are ample weapons available for a war with Iran in the region, some Western sources stress that the quantity of US weapons is insufficient for a prolonged conflict.
Regionalizing the war
In this war, the world is witnessing an unparalleled and distinctly different response than in the past. As previously warned by Martyr Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the late Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Iran has delivered a response far beyond the enemy’s expectations, launching missile and drone attacks against all regional countries hosting American forces based on the principle of international self-defense.
Within just three days, Iran has fired dozens of missiles and drones at US bases in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman, causing significant damage to American equipment. According to Tehran's security officials, nearly 600 American soldiers have been killed or injured. While Washington has officially confirmed three fatalities, the extensive missile and drone strikes indicate that the actual casualty figures are much higher than what Trump claims.
Furthermore, American embassies and oil tankers have not been spared from the Iranian armed forces' attacks, resulting in serious damage to diplomatic centers and economic interests of Washington. Given that Arab countries are unable to respond to Iran's attacks and lack the courage to pressure Washington for the withdrawal of its forces, they have found themselves trapped in a web set by the US
Meanwhile, with resistance groups from Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq joining the confrontation in support of the Islamic Republic, the scope of the conflict is expanding day by day, posing serious threats to Washington's and Tel Aviv's interests throughout the region.
In light of the recent wave of Iranian missile and drone operations targeting the US bases in such countries as Turkey and Cyprus, the conflict has extended beyond the region, serving as a clear warning to warmongers in Washington and Tel Aviv.
The destruction of infrastructure and civilian casualties in Israel is no less severe than those suffered by the US Similar to the 12-day war, various areas within the occupied territories have once again become prime targets for missile and drone strikes.
Despite the Israeli regime's ongoing efforts to downplay the human toll and damage to the occupied territories through media censorship, footage and reports suggest significant devastation, particularly in Tel Aviv and Haifa.
Even as sirens have been hacked and multi-layered defense systems fail, many missiles and drones are striking their intended targets with high precision. The capability of these missiles has reached such levels that even the office of Netanyahu, where he conducts security meetings at the air force command center, was struck on Monday by Kheibar missiles.
Considering these fast developments, it appears that the brief conflict that Trump and Netanyahu hoped for is evolving into a protracted and exhausting struggle, one that exceeds the military capacities of both the US and Israel. A wave of criticism is already emerging within the US regarding this dangerous adventure, and Trump is expected to address Congress in separate sessions on Tuesday to explain the attacks on Iran.
Iran has demonstrated its ability to withstand external threats for an extended period, even during the brutal 8-year war Saddam of Iraq waged on Iran in the early 1980s and amidst harsh Western sanctions. Therefore, if the war sparked by Washington and Tel Aviv persists in the long term, it is ultimately the Iranian people and the Islamic Republic that will emerge victorious. Just as they have prevented chaos and instability in the country from previous disruptive scenarios, they will continue to thwart the nefarious plans of their enemies in the future.
Meanwhile the martyrdom of the Leader has only strengthened the will of the people and officials to hold aggressors accountable and to refuse any compromise with them. Consequently, Trump's and Netanyahu's reliance solely on air power will not fulfill their ambitions in the long run.
Overall, with powerful Iranian missiles striking both the occupied territories and the US military assets across the Middle East, alongside the disruption of vital economic lifeline through the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, it is evident that if Washington and Tel Aviv continue their warmongering, the Israeli-Arab-Western front will suffer irreparable losses. The painful blows from the Islamic Republic will shatter the myth of the invincibility of the US military and the Israeli regime.
