AhlulBayt News Agency: The Council of Ulama of Nigeria, led by its National Chairman Sheikh Dan’azumi Musa, has praised the Iranian government and security forces for confronting U.S.-Israeli-backed riots, while strongly condemning the United States and Israel for fueling unrest in the country.
Iranian officials say recent unrest involved armed elements linked to foreign intelligence operations, aimed at destabilizing the Islamic Republic after failed political and media pressure campaigns.
Iranian intelligence and security agencies have arrested hundreds of armed rioters in recent days.
Authorities say weapons, explosives, illicit drugs, and improvised explosive devices were seized.
Tehran says Washington and Tel Aviv have been backing violent groups to create chaos and undermine public security.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Iran Press from his residence in Nigeria’s Bauchi State, Sheikh Dan’azumi Musa said Iran had successfully exposed and neutralized a coordinated plot of the U.S. and Israel.
“The greatest enemies of Islam today are the United States and Israel. The centre of Islamic resistance and awareness in the world is the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
“America wants to cover up its crimes in Gaza, Lebanon, and elsewhere by attacking Islam itself, starting from Iran. That is why they are sponsoring these deadly riots.”
“We commend Iran’s security forces for standing firmly with the people and defending the country against chaos and destruction.”
He warned that allowing Iran to be weakened would endanger the wider Muslim world:
“If Muslims remain silent, the target will move from Iran to Mecca, Medina, Egypt, and beyond. History has shown that oppressive powers always fail, just as Hitler failed, America will fail.”
