AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran's Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei has strongly condemned Israel’s missile strike on Tehran’s Evin Prison, describing it as a blatant violation of international norms and a war crime that warrants legal pursuit on the global stage.
According to IRNA, in a statement released Tuesday, Mohseni-Ejei declared, “The criminal hand of the usurping Zionist regime—unable to achieve its goals on the battlefield against Iran’s Armed Forces—has now targeted the heart of the Islamic Republic. By launching an attack on Evin Prison, they have defied established international conventions.”
According to the judiciary chief, the strike led to the deaths of several prison staff, judicial personnel from Tehran’s District 33, and visiting family members of inmates. A number of prisoners were also injured.
Mohseni-Ejei emphasized the gravity of the attack, labeling it a savage act of aggression and calling for the perpetrators to be brought to justice in relevant international courts and legal bodies.
