Israel imposes media blackout after Iranian missile strikes

Iran launched the ninth phase of True Promise III, striking Israeli command centers and military sites. Israel responded by imposing a media blackout, cutting live broadcasts and arresting journalists. Western media also halted coverage of the attacks.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran launched the ninth phase of its retaliatory military operation, True Promise III, late Monday, prompting the Israeli regime to impose a sweeping media blackout.

Reports indicate that live broadcasts from Tel Aviv and Haifa, illuminated by Iranian missile and drone strikes, were abruptly cut off by Israeli authorities. Major Western media outlets, including CNN, also halted their live aerial coverage across Israeli-occupied territories.

As Iranian strikes intensified, livestreams on platforms such as YouTube and Instagram were rapidly removed, deepening the media blackout.

Israeli media confirmed the arrest of several domestic and foreign journalists for filming Iranian retaliatory missile and drone attacks. The Israeli military had previously warned that recording and sharing footage of missile impacts would be considered “aiding the enemy during wartime”.

Since Friday, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) aerospace division has carried out nine phases of Operation True Promise III, targeting strategic Israeli sites.

On Monday morning, Iranian missiles struck Israeli command and control centers using advanced tactics and upgraded intelligence technologies.

A day earlier, the IRGC announced that it had hit Israeli fighter jet fuel production facilities and energy supply lines in a major drone and missile operation on Haifa.

Military analysts suggest that these precision operations have significantly damaged Israel’s military image, exposing vulnerabilities and prompting the regime to enforce a media blackout.
