AhlulBayt News Agency: Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has warned of the disastrous consequences of Western support for Israel, urging Muslim nations to unite against the occupying regime. He stated that Israel’s nuclear capabilities remain unchecked, as it is not a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) or any other binding agreement.
During a session of the Pakistani parliament, Asif condemned Israel’s recent attacks on Iran and reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the Islamic Republic. He emphasized the need for unity among Muslim states and called for severing diplomatic ties with Tel Aviv.
The Pakistani Senate and National Assembly passed resolutions condemning Israel’s actions in Iran and expressing solidarity with the Iranian government and people. Asif warned that failing to act collectively would encourage further aggression across West Asia.
Speaking in the National Assembly, Asif argued that Israel had received intelligence, cover, and support for its operations. He urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to convene and devise a strategy to counter Israeli aggression.
On Friday, Israeli jets bombed military and nuclear sites in Iran, assassinating senior Iranian commanders and nuclear scientists. In response, Iran launched multiple ballistic missiles at Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv. While the United States denied involvement, former President Donald Trump endorsed Israel’s actions, leading Iran to suspend nuclear talks with Washington.
