AhlulBayt News Agency: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced that Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi visited Tehran for a one-day trip to present key elements of a U.S. proposal.
According to IRNA, in a post on his X account, Araqchi stated, “My dear brother @badralbusaidi, distinguished Foreign Minister of Oman, paid a short visit to Tehran today to present elements of a U.S. proposal which will be appropriately responded to in line with the principles, national interests, and rights of the people of Iran.”
The visit comes as part of ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States, facilitated by Oman. So far, five rounds of talks have taken place—three in Muscat and two in Rome—mediated by Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi.
Iran has yet to formally respond to the latest proposal, but officials have emphasized that any decision will be made with careful consideration of national interests and sovereignty.
