(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued their large-scale assault in the southern Aleppo districts on Tuesday after suffering several setbacks at the northern Hama front.

Led by their elite Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) attempted to break-through the enemy front-lines at Tal Qarassi this morning; however, Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) managed to repel the attack after several hours of battle.

The Tiger Forces would regroup and then launch a second attack at Tal Qarassi, which proved successful after a short firefight with Jaysh Al-Fateh.

Following the capture of Tal Qarassi, the Syrian Armed Forces seized Tal ‘Amarah, Barandeh, and Qarassi village after breaking through Jaysh Al-Fateh’s first-line of defense.

According to a military source in the Aleppo Governorate, the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized Division and Hezbollah have capitalized on the Tiger Forces’ advance in southern Aleppo by capturing several buildings in the 1070 Al-Hamdaniyah Housing Project and Technical College.

The military source added that the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah are now making a major push in Al-Ramouseh; if this district is recaptured, then the government will be able to reopen their main supply route.
