In search of of further income, the ISIS militants are now using other sources of revenue to fund their war and administration in the northern areas of Iraq.
After international coalition forces stepped up their areal campaign against IS-controlled oil fields in Iraq and Syria, the terrorist group is apparently facing lack of funds.
The Iraqi authorities in Baghdad recently released a report revealing that IS is now in control of nearly 2,500 pisciculture fields across northern Baghdad areas and they are using the new method for funding the group.
According to the report, IS is also trading vehicles and drugs across its-held territories, attempting to retrieve the funds they have lost in the destroyed oil fields.
The extremist group has recently created a new position within its administration called “Emir of Economy”.
