AhlulBayt News Agency - The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has put an end to the Jihadist rebel offensive in southwest Aleppo tonight after nearly two hours of non-stop fighting at the Al-Rashiddeen District and nearby Al-Assad Suburb.
The terrorist offensive was officially foiled around 5 A.M. (Damascus Time) and resulted in a swift retreat for Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) and their allies.
This was the first major offensive launched by the Jihadist rebel forces inside the city of Aleppo since the advent of the nationwide ceasefire agreement.
More importantly, the Jihadist rebel assault on Aleppo City is a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement and opens the door for a Syrian Arab Army counter-offensive.
