Lebanon: Qabalan urges Muslims unity in face of plots

AhlulBayt News Agency - Deputy Head of the Higher Shia Islamic Council of Lebanon Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan called for Mulsims' unity as they face arrogant powers' plots.

In a meeting with former Iranian deputy foreign minister, Sadeq Kharrazi, he said that arrogant powers' plots have taken aim at the Muslim nations.

Qablan also said that the Muslims should remain vigilant about the seditions and safeguard unity and stability among the Islamic Ummah.

Describing Iran as the savior of the Islamic Uammah which is grappling with crises, he said that Iran has proved itself to be a strong fort for defending Muslim nations.

Safeguarding Iran is safeguarding Islam, values and Islamic teachings and ensuring victory of Islamic Ummah, particularly triumph of Palestine over the Zionist regime, Qablan said.

Kharrazi, who is currently in Beirut to meet with certain Lebanese political and religious figures, said it was a valuable opportunity to discuss regional developments with Shiekh Qabalan.

'We consider intelligence diversion symbolized by Takfiri terrorists along with foreign conspiracies the main sufferings sustained by the Arabs and Muslims,' he said.

He called for unity to counter the challenges which are not new ones.

'We are sure that all the plots will be thwarted through wisdom and unity,' he said.
