AhlulBayt News Agency: The Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate has said that 66 journalists and media workers have been killed since October 7 during Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
In a Facebook post on Friday, the syndicate added that among the victims are six female journalists identified as Salma Mukhaimer, Salam Mima, Iman al-Aqili, Alaa al-Hasanat, Ayat Khadura, and Duaa Sharaf.
Additionally, the syndicate pointed out that two journalists, Nidhal al-Wahidi and Haitham Abdul-Wahed, are currently missing in Gaza, while 31 journalists are detained by the Israeli security and military forces in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The syndicate called on international, Arab, and Palestinian rights groups to hold the Israeli occupation government accountable for its crimes against female journalists, who are exposed to murder, arrest, prosecution, beating, and assault because of their journalistic work.
