ABNA24 - Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei issued a message following the death of Alireza Tangsiri, commander of the naval force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
In the message, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution described Tangsiri as a brave and courageous commander who, after years of struggle, attained martyrdom.
He referred to him as a brave son of Tangestan, a soldier of Iran and guardian of Islam, and said his martyrdom during the third imposed war constitutes a great honor for the people of Bushehr, the youth of southern Iran, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation.
The message added that Iran’s armed forces and nation have always safeguarded the country’s independence and maritime borders, especially the Persian Gulf, and expressed hope that the path of Iran’s maritime power and resistance would continue more strongly than before.
He also extended congratulations and condolences to Tangsiri’s family, comrades, naval commanders and the IRGC, and prayed for elevated ranks for the deceased commander.
