Israel and US in Growing Deadlock in War with Iran: Hebrew Media Outlets

Hebrew media outlets have reported on the apparent inability of the United States and Israel to achieve their objectives in the war with Iran.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Hebrew media outlets have reported on the increasing complexity of the situation for the United States and Israel in the war with Iran, amid an evident inability to achieve decisive objectives and growing military and economic risks.

The newspaper Israel Hayom reported that Washington faces difficulties in devising effective mechanisms to break what it describes as the Iranian siege in the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump finds himself caught between two difficult options. The first option is escalation, which could lead to a prolonged and costly war. The second option is withdrawal, which carries its own political consequences.

In contrast, Iran emphasizes that the strait has not been directly closed, but rather that this situation is a result of the consequences of the war that the United States and Israel have ignited in the region.

On the other hand, Haaretz noted that Iran holds the initiative in the confrontation process, shaping the course of the conflict by setting the rhythm of operations, while Washington and Tel Aviv remain largely in a reactive position, a matter that exacerbates their confusion.

The newspaper also added that differences between the two sides are clearly emerging, with Trump seeking a way to exit the war, while Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Israeli regime, insists on its continuation for reasons described as personal.

In light of these differences, assessments in Israeli circles indicate that the stage of mutual accusations between the two allies is approaching, especially as the war has entered a war of attrition with no clear horizon for its end.
