Muslims in Washington pay tribute to Martyr Ayatollah Khamenei

Many Iranians, cultural and religious figures, as well as Muslims from various countries in Washington, attended a ceremony commemorating the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Many Iranians, cultural and religious figures, as well as Muslims from various countries in Washington, attended a ceremony commemorating the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, prayers, and Iftar.

In brief remarks in Persian and English, the head of Iran’s Interests Section in Washington offered condolences and emphasized the determination of the nation and government of Iran to continue and follow the path of the martyred Leader.

Muhammed Al-Asi, the former head of the Islamic Center of Washington, an English translator of the Holy Quran, and a supporter of the Islamic Republic of Iran since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution, expressed sorrow over the loss of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

The United States and Israel launched a war of aggression against Iran on February 28, assassinating Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei and top military commanders, despite indirect nuclear negotiations between Tehran and Washington.

The two regimes have also killed more than 1,200 civilians, including nearly 200 children, and attacked non-military sites, among them schools, hospital, desalination plants.

Within the framework of its legitimate response, the Iranian Armed Forces immediately initiated decisive missile and drone strikes against US bases in the region and targets in Israel.
