AhlulBayt News Agency: The Supreme Council of Friday Imams and Islamic Affairs of Brazil has organized Ramadan Quranic circles in Latin American countries.
They are held during the holy month with the aim of strengthening religious education and connecting families and young people with the Quran in Latin America.
Abdul Hamid Mutawalli, the council’s president, is responsible for organizing the programs.
This initiative reflects the growth of Islamic institutional activities in Latin America and the enthusiasm of scholars and religious leaders to provide integrated educational programs that respond to the needs of different Muslim communities.
The Supreme Council of Imams is leading this initiative at the continental level, and the Quranic circles are organized by this council, which is a comprehensive religious institution for promoting Islamic identity in various countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The council announced the holding of a daily program during the holy month of Ramadan with the participation of an elite group of scholars and preachers from different Latin American countries, which demonstrates an advanced level of coordination and integration between Islamic institutions on the continent.
The Ramadan program includes the daily recitation of parts of the Holy Quran, followed by a detailed explanation of the meanings and teachings of the verses, along with educational and faith-based lessons aimed at reinforcing Islamic values in daily life.
The program also includes special sections for families and young people that help develop religious awareness in different age groups and strengthen the role of the family as the main institution of Islamic education in Muslim communities.
Brazil, located in the eastern part of South America and the largest country in terms of area and population, is one of the most prominent countries that has witnessed the historical presence of Islam, as it has an active Muslim community and effective religious institutions. This makes these outreach circles an important tool for promoting scholarly communication between scholars and the general public and for creating a correct understanding of the Holy Quran, especially given the cultural and social challenges faced by Muslims in non-Muslim societies.
