AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): In the birth anniversary of the Prophet Christ (a.s.), held at the AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University, Hujjat al-Islam Sayed Hassan Khomeini, custodian of the Holy Shrine of Imam Khomeini, referred to the status of the divine prophets in the Holy Quran. “The most important characteristic for the divine prophets in the Quran, is that they are ‘blessed’. The characteristic that used for Prophet Jesus (a.s.) as well.”
Explaining about the ‘blessed,” he added, “Commonly the blessing is downgraded to materialistic issues, while in its most profound sense, the issue of blessing of the prophets, give meaning to the life of human being. Without God, man’s life has no meaning, and it is believing in God which direct and give meaning to man’s live.”
Being faithful to the religion, makes man believe that his life is not confined to 70 to 80 years of material life and death is not his end, but he will be continued in a vaster horizon beyond material life. In Abrahamic life, this concept explained with the unification with the beginning of the creation.”
Noting to the contemporary crimes, he said, “What is now happening in Gaza, or what happened before by Daesh in the name of Islam, or atrocities sometimes committed in the name of Christianity, are not religious. These are the outcome of detach from the truth of worshipping God.”
Concluding his remarks, he said, “Human history is not glorious, millions of people have died during wars and massacres. There have been many butchers in all cultures and countries. What makes human history valuable is the existence of the prophets.
