Top Iranian military official thanks Pakistan for support during Israeli-U.S. aggression

Chairman of the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, expressed gratitude to Pakistan for standing by the Islamic Republic during the unprovoked war of aggression initiated by the Israeli regime and backed by the United States.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Chairman of the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, expressed gratitude to Pakistan for standing by the Islamic Republic during the unprovoked war of aggression initiated by the Israeli regime and backed by the United States.

According to IRNA, in a telephone conversation on Sunday with General Asim Munir, Chief of the Army Staff of Pakistan, Major General Mousavi discussed ongoing military coordination and regional defense diplomacy in the aftermath of the recent 12-day conflict.

“In the imposed 12-day war,” he stated, “the United States went to great lengths to support the Zionist regime—not only joining the aggression directly, but also utilizing the full spectrum of its capabilities to shield it from Iran’s missile and drone operations.”

He further noted that several other Western nations had also contributed to the war effort, offering both rhetorical and logistical backing to Israel.

Reflecting on the conflict’s toll, Mousavi acknowledged that Iran had endured significant sacrifices, including the martyrdom of senior military leaders in the opening stages of the confrontation. Nonetheless, he emphasized that Iran's countermeasures had decisively disrupted enemy objectives, eventually compelling the adversary to seek a ceasefire.

The war was initiated by Israel on June 13, just days before planned diplomatic negotiations between Iran and the United States concerning Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities. Washington entered the conflict on June 22, carrying out targeted strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities at Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz.

In retaliation, Iran launched a series of coordinated and powerful attacks on strategic sites within Israeli-occupied territories, inflicting substantial damage. A ceasefire agreement was reached on June 24.
