AhlulBayt News Agency: President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that adversaries thought they can take advantage of internal disagreements and some difficulties within Iran, when they resorted to military aggression.
In a meeting of the social service headquarters in Tehran on Tuesday, President Pezeshkian referred to the hidden motives behind the recent attacks on Iran, stating that enemies hoped that after the attack, people would take to the streets, creating conditions conducive to achieving their objectives. However, the course of events has unfolded completely contrary to their expectations, which is a great blessing.
The president emphasized the importance of properly utilizing the opportunities ahead for the country, adding that authorities must enhance unity and public participation and use this social capital to overcome challenges.
The president highlighted the significant role of mosques in the social service network, calling for the activation of local institutions in coordination with health centers, relief committees, and welfare organizations.
Referring to the capacities of neighborhood-based management structures in organizing social services, the president stressed that now is a golden opportunity to design a clear and coherent model of service delivery by precisely defining the target population at the neighborhood level.
Pezeshkian noted that this model should be developed down to the level of alleys, schools, and health bases; schools should be responsible for education, health bases for treatment and counseling, and each responsible institution should clearly understand what services to provide, to whom, and how.
He added that the role of the people in rectifying consumption patterns is crucial, noting that at the neighborhood level, meetings can be held to review energy consumption status and collectively decide how to reduce consumption.
