AhlulBayt News Agency: Launched by the India-based organization Hussaini Movement, the social media campaign #KhomeiniForAll just celebrated its eighth consecutive anniversary commemorating the demise anniversary of Imam Ruhullah Moosavi Khomeini (r), the founder of the Islamic Revolution. The campaign began on June 2 and will continue until June 8. Thousands of people from across the world will participate in the campaign.
This year, the hashtag gained widespread reach trending in regions including India, Iran, Europe, Nigeria, and many parts of Asia and Africa. The hashtag featured, but was not limited to, quotes, tributes, archival video footage, and reflections on Imam Khomeini's ideological legacy, resistance philosophy, and resonance with global Islamic movements.
The Hussaini Movement, who have chapters in several countries, encouraged local actions online and offline during the campaign period. Digital posters, livestreams, and webinars were all shared and categorized with the hashtag to help remember, raise awareness, and intentionally act in collective memory, particularly with younger people.
The embassies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and other Iranian cultural centers, and many notable public personalities also took part in the campaign and posted curated content to commemorate Imam Khomeini (r). Educators, activists, scholars, and religious figures reflected on their perspectives and shared varied and engaging scholarship under the umbrella of significance of Imam Khomeini's vision in today's global socio-political landscape.
The consistent global engagement with #KhomeiniForAll underscores the lasting influence of Imam Khomeini’s thought across borders, generations, and communities, reinforcing his role as a central figure in modern Islamic history.
