AhlulBayt News Agency - The Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized Division and Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary) have sent hundreds of reinforcements to the southern Aleppo front in order to help drive back the extremist rebels near Khan Touman.
Last night, the rebels captured the villages of Khan Touman and Al-Khalidiyah after a fierce battle with the Syrian Armed Forces and Harakat Al-Nujaba (Iraqi paramilitary).
This latest insurgent advance has put the Syrian Armed Forces in a difficult position in southern Aleppo because Khan Touman overlooks the Syrian government controlled villages to the east.
Since the inception of this nationwide ceasefire, the Syrian Armed Forces have lost two major villages to the jihadist rebels: Tal Al-‘Eiss and Khan Touman.
