AhlulBayt News Agency - US has not been bound to its obligations historically and Iranian nation should not trust them, newly elected member of Iran's Assembly of Experts Ayatollah Qorban Ali Dorry Najafabadi said on Monday.
Dorry Najafabadi who is also representative of Iran's Supreme Leader in Markazi Province said in a statement that since the US engineered 1953 coup d'état, known in Iran as the 28 Mordad coup, US has always tried to ignore Iranian nation's rights.
Iran has no trust in US because American governments have not only supported former Iraqi dictator Saddam's imposed war against Iran but also they supported opposition armed groups' criminal actions, the former intelligence minister added.
He underlined that even after the nuclear deal, US President Barak Obama threatens Iran, an action that can impact the results of nuclear negotiations.
US support for Takfiri terrorist groups, Saudi Arabia and Zionist regime questions US claim of supporting democracy in the world, the cleric said.
Stating that US still seek regime change in Iran, he said that US officials are not bound to their obligations and they should not be trusted.
