Israeli settlers storm Aqsa Mosque under police protection, barring Muslim worshipers

The Aqsa Mosque has frequently been at the center of tensions between Israeli settlers and Palestinian worshipers. Restrictions on Muslim entry have led to growing concerns over violations of religious freedoms. International calls for intervention have increased amid repeated incursions into the site.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Scores of extremist Jewish settlers entered the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Monday morning, as restrictions were imposed on Muslim worshipers attempting to access the holy site.

According to the Islamic Awqaf Administration in Jerusalem, dozens of settlers accessed the mosque through its Maghariba Gate and provocatively toured its courtyards under police protection.

During their presence at the Islamic holy site, the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount. Reports indicate that some performed dances and Talmudic prayers in a provocative manner.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation police enforced movement and entry restrictions at the Aqsa Mosque’s entrances and gates. Many Muslim worshipers were denied access to the site.
