AhlulBayt News Agency: The Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi (AQR) called expanding religious outreach crucial for addressing societal issues and fostering national unity.
Speaking at the 7th assembly of the Supreme Council of Khorasan Seminary, hosted at Imam Reza shrine, AQR’s Custodian, Ayat. Marvi, stressed the necessity of extending religious efforts to alleviate social problems and foster cohesion.
He urged scholars to consider young generation as part of the nation’s family, deserving of guidance.
Ayat. Marvi highlighted the responsibility of Islamic scholars to guide all societal segments, particularly the youth.
“Tailoring religious outreach to diverse cultural and intellectual needs is highly important and ensures inclusivity even for those facing societal challenges,” he emphasized.
The top official identified two types of first-time visitors to Imam Reza shrine: “Those unable to visit due to financial constraints and those unaware of the spiritual value of pilgrimage. Both groups merit equal attention”.
Ayat. Marvi referenced the historical significance of religious outreach, noting that “Islam has relied on it since its inception, with Prophet Muhammad training and dispatching missionaries”.
He asserted that effective religious guidance is essential for preserving societal identity and resisting cultural invasions.
Reflecting on Iran’s Islamic Revolution, AQR’s Custodian underscored the pivotal role of religious outreach in uniting people under Imam Khomeini’s leadership.
He warned of adversaries’ attempts to undermine the connection between scholars and society.
Concluding, Ayat. Marvi emphasized justice and impartiality as fundamental principles for impactful religious outreach, cautioning against biases that could hinder its effectiveness.
“Fairness is key to ensuring that religious messages resonate widely”, he stated.
