AhlulBayt News Agency: The ceremony, which was held at the Qibla gate courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), witnessed the presence of Dr. Afdhal al-Shami, a member of the holy shrine's Board of directors, a number of its officials, and religious figures, in addition to a large number of visitors who flocked to celebrate this occasion.
The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, and then Sheikh Salah al-Karbalai delivered a speech at the Holy Shrine, in which he congratulated those present and the Islamic nation on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam al-Hassan al-Mojtaba (peace be upon him).
Sheikh al-Karbalai reviewed the biography of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him), the moral and devotional aspects of his life, recalling how the imam (peace be upon him) was born, and how the prophet and the Ahl al-Bayt (Allah's prayers be upon them) heralded his blessed birth.
He pointed to the role played by Imam Al-Mojtaba (peace be upon him) because it is an integrated curriculum that simulates all the educational, ideological and intellectual dimensions of man, despite the exceptional circumstances that he lived in his honorable life.
For his part, a member of the central celebrations committee at the holy shrine; Sayed Aqeel al-Yasiri, said that " the ceremony included various paragraphs, including: making ceremonial speeches, presenting poems, in addition to religious songs for the Blessed anniversary.
"The ceremony concluded with honoring the winners of the electronic cultural competition prepared by the general secretariat of the holy shrine, honoring ten winners in this competition, as well as honoring the winners of the best short story text competition,"al-Yasiri added.
The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is keen to organize cultural and awareness-raising events on special occasions for the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), believing in the role of these events in promoting religious culture among visitors.
