Kashmir's top Shia cleric expresses concern over deteriorating health of Geelani, Malik

In a statement issued on media, Aga Hasan said that state government’s frustration is evident as both these ailing leaders continue to be surrounded by policemen.

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Expressing concern over the deterioration of Muhammad Yasin Malik’s health and the continuous detention of Syed Ali Geelani, senior Kashmiri Shiite leader and president Anjuman Shari Shian Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi Monday warned that it will have dangerous repercussions if something untoward happens to these two towering leaders of Kashmir Freedom Struggle.

In a statement issued on media, Aga Hasan said that state government’s frustration is evident as both these ailing leaders continue to be surrounded by policemen.

“Both Geelani and Malik need proper medical attention. It is sham for the government to keep an octogenarian leader like Geelani under continuous house arrest.

It is also shame for the government that it has not been releasing JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik despite the fact he is undergoing medical treatment at SKIMS Srinagar,” he said and added that such tactics can’t break the resolve of these leaders and people as well.
