The body of the late Professor Mohammad Hossein Hashmatpour was carried from Imam Hassan Askari Mosque in Qom towards the shrine of Lady Masoumeh. After circumambulating the sacred tomb of the noble descendant of the Prophet and the funeral prayer led by Ayatollah Karimi Jahromi, his body was transferred to Mashhad for burial at the shrine of Imam Reza.
