Scholar Warns of Neo-Orientalist Project Distorting Muslim Women as Gender Concepts Infiltrate International Institutions

A prominent Iraqi scholar has warned that Western academic institutions and international bodies are waging a new form of Orientalism aimed at erasing the identity of Muslim women, replacing moral concepts of man and woman with fluid gender constructs, and pressuring Islamic states to legalize homosexuality, calling on Muslim women to enter the academic arena and confront what she termed Western pseudo-science.
