Hezbollah martyrs returned to Lebanon

Hezbollah's War Media Center announced in a tweet that the fighters were martyred in 2016 in battles in southern Aleppo countryside.

It identified them as Ibrahim Nayef Chehab, Hussein Talal al-Zein, Mahmoud Ali Murad, Mustafa Khalil Shomar and Ahmad Ali Badran.

It wasn't immediately clear as to whether Hezbollah found the bodies or that they were exhumed as part of deal that expelled ISIS terrorists outside Lebanon.

The Lebanese Army last month launched an offensive - dubbed the Fajr al-Joroud - against ISIS terrorists who have been entrenched on the Lebanese-Syrian border since 2014.

Hezbollah and the Syrian army also launched an offensive against the terrorists from the Syrian side of the border at the same time.

The 10-day offensive began on Aug. 19 and saw the military clear ISIS from large swaths of Lebanese territory.

The fighting ended with a deal brokered by Hezbollah for the terrorists to be given passage to Albukamal in Deir Ezzor province in exchange for information leading to the discovery of the remains of nine Lebanese soldiers kidnapped by the gunmen in 2014 and the handover of several other Hezbollah fighters who had been captured by ISIS.
