(AhlulBayt News Agency) - “Religious minorities in Iran regard the Islamic Revolution as a big blessing and they are proud of it,” Younatan Betkolia said on Saturday.
Religious minorities not only played an important role in the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, but also left a brilliant record defending the country during eight years of the Sacred Defense.
“Religious minorities in Iran are not solely minorities but part of the society,” he said.
The lawmaker representing the Assyrians and Chaldeans said that contrary to negative propaganda by the enemies, following the Islamic Revolution, religious minorities in the country achieved a new status.
The Islamic Revolution has never deprived religious minorities from their rights, rather it has helped compensate for all the legal weaknesses pertaining to the minority rights.
