30 Al-Qaida members arrested in Iran

Deputy Intelligence Minister said during the past month, 30 persons related to al-Qaida have been arrested in the country.

Khazaei, who was speaking in Mashad Friday Prayers, said that the ministry has done significant moves to confront with elements undermining security in the country.

He said that terrorist groups like Daish are committing crimes in Iraq and other Islamic countries with support of the Zionist regime and the USA.

The official added that Takfiri and Daish groups have problems not only with Shia Muslims, but with Sunnis too, and they show this in recent crimes in Mosul, Iraq.

He underlined that a wide front should be created by Shia and Sunni Muslims to confront with Vahhabis, Takfiris and fundamentalists.

Khazaei continued that since September 11, 2001 event, the Intelligence Ministry is involved with issues related to Al-Qaida in the country and that the terrorist group is doing its utmost to create insecurity in the country.
