Territory of Islamic Countries Is Being Exploited for Attacks Against Iran: Iranian FM

Iran’s Foreign Minister, in a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, stated that the territory of Islamic countries in the region is being exploited for attacks by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a telephone call with Hakan Fidan, the Foreign Minister of Turkey, discussed and exchanged views on regional developments and the consequences of the illegal war waged by the United States and the Zionist regime on the security of the region and the world.

Araghchi, outlining the aggressors’ crimes against the Iranian people, particularly attacks on schools, hospitals, and residential areas, emphasized Iran’s determination to decisively defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. He stated that Iran’s action in targeting the military bases and facilities of the aggressors in regional countries is in line with the inherent right to self-defense, adding that they regret that the territory of Islamic countries in the region is being exploited for attacks by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran.

Araghchi, referring to the consequences of the military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime on the security and stability of the region and the safety of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, stated that the insecurity imposed on the Strait of Hormuz is a direct result of the military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime. He added that countries in the region and around the world must hold the perpetrators of this situation accountable for their crimes.

The Turkish Foreign Minister, referring to the consequences of the continuation of war in the region and outlining his recent consultations with officials from regional countries, emphasized the necessity of efforts to reduce tensions and strengthen relations between Iran and the regional countries.
