Sheikh Maher Hamoud Praises Iran’s Enduring Support for Palestine and Resistance

Sheikh Maher Hamoud praised Iran for its long-standing support of Palestine and the resistance, despite normalization efforts by some Arab states with Israel. He highlighted Iran’s resilience under decades of pressure and its unwavering revolutionary principles.

AhlulBayt News Agency: From the earliest days after the Islamic Revolution’s victory, Iran has consistently positioned itself as a leading supporter of the Palestinian people and the resistance movement.

At a conference titled “The Islamic Revolution and the Challenges of the Current Phase,” held by Hezbollah to mark the Revolution’s 47th anniversary, Sheikh Maher Hamoud, head of the World Union of Resistance Scholars, praised Iran for its unwavering role in backing Palestine despite the normalization trend among some Arab governments with the Israeli regime.

He sharply criticized the normalization project, condemning countries that claim Arab and Islamic identity while simultaneously forging ties with Tel Aviv.

The Lebanese scholar highlighted Iran’s endurance in the face of decades of sanctions and pressure, commending the Islamic Republic for its steadfastness and resilience.

Sheikh Hamoud also pointed to Iran’s long-standing commitment to the Palestinian cause, recalling that the first Palestinian embassy was opened in Tehran shortly after the Revolution’s triumph.

He emphasized that the principles and direction of the Islamic Revolution have remained firm and unchanged throughout its 47‑year history.

The cleric described Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as a “great and distinguished Islamic leader,” asserting that Western attempts to overthrow the Islamic establishment have failed and that the system continues to stand strong despite ongoing challenges.
