AhlulBayt News Agency: The Department of Hussayni Rituals, Processions, and Bodies held an organizational meeting with the representatives of the bodies and processions in the Diwaniyah Governorate to discuss the preparations for the months of Muharram and Safar.
The administrative assistant in the department, Mr. Kadhem Saleh Mahdi, said: "The Rituals Department continues to hold its periodic meetings with the representatives and units of the processions in all provinces of Iraq with the aim of organizing the administrative and service affairs of those processions, and ensuring the smooth conduct of mourning ceremonies and the provision of services."
He added that "the department held a meeting with the representatives of the Hussaini bodies and processions in the province of Diwaniya, which includes 21 units in all districts and sub-districts of the province, noting that 'the meeting discussed the importance of addressing challenges and emphasizing the necessity of adhering to the regulations and instructions of the holy shrine, in addition to listening to the proposals of the procession representatives.'"
Mahdi pointed out that "the months of Muharram, Safar, Sha'ban, and the month of Ramadan have a high degree of significance due to the numerous religious activities and events held during them, which necessitates intensifying meetings and proactive arrangements to ensure the smoothness and success of the mourning and service programs."
For his part, the representative of the Hussaini Processions Authority in Diwaniyah, Dr. Falah Al-Jubouri, mentioned: "The meeting was dedicated to discussing the challenges that hinder the movement of processions and visitors during the major Ziyarat, and working on finding appropriate solutions to ensure the smooth operation during the mourning season."
He added, "We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine for the great efforts it makes in supporting the Hussaini processions and overcoming the difficulties and challenges they face, whether in the province of Diwaniyah or in other provinces."
