AhlulBayt News Agency: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has urged the Iranian people to embrace unity and solidarity, declaring that the nation must stand firmly against the aggression of the Israeli regime.
Speaking during a parliamentary session on Monday, Pezeshkian condemned the Israeli attacks, which led to the martyrdom of several Iranian military commanders, scientists, and dozens of civilians.
“The enemy cannot erase us or silence our nation through violence, killings, and assassinations,” he stated. “For every hero who falls, hundreds will rise to continue the struggle against oppression, injustice, and betrayal committed by these aggressors.”
Pezeshkian reaffirmed that Iran is not the aggressor in this war, emphasizing the need for national unity. “Today, more than ever, we need solidarity and cohesion. All Iranians must stand together against this criminal aggression and set aside differences to confront it.”
Regarding nuclear energy, Pezeshkian asserted that Iran has the right to benefit from nuclear research and no nation has the authority to deny this right. He declared that Iran stands firm in securing what belongs to it, adding that the country has extended a hand of brotherhood to all Islamic nations, many of whom stand alongside Iran in solidarity.
He criticized the United States for supporting Israeli violations of international norms, stressing that Iran has never sought war nor initiated aggression.
Referring to the assassination of senior Iranian commanders and scientists, Pezeshkian questioned, “What crime did a scientist commit to deserve being murdered along with his family by someone from across the world?”
Early Friday morning, the Israeli regime carried out a military operation, assassinating numerous Iranian officials and civilians, including women and children.
Among those martyred were Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces; IRGC Commander-in-Chief Hossein Salami; Brigadier General AmirAli Hajizadeh, head of the IRGC Aerospace Division; senior IRGC commander General Gholam Ali Rashid; and Brigadier General Mohammad Kazemi, head of the IRGC’s Intelligence Organization.
Iranian nuclear scientists Dr. Fereydoon Abbasi, Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, and Dr. Abdolhamid Minoucher were also targeted in separate attacks.
In response, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) launched multiple retaliatory waves, marking the eighth phase of Operation True Promise III since Friday.
Following the latest round of strikes on Monday morning, the IRGC described the attacks as “more powerful and crushing” than previous phases, reinforcing Iran’s continued resistance against Israeli aggression.
