AhlulBayt News Agency: The Secretariat of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) has denounced the recent Israeli attacks on Iran as a blatant violation of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
According to IRNA, in a statement released on Sunday, the Secretariat voiced grave concern over the escalating violence and the threat to regional peace posed by the Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Calling the incident a clear breach of fundamental principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, the ECO emphasized that Iran, as a founding member and host country of the organization, must be safeguarded against such unlawful acts.
The statement extended deep condolences to the Iranian people and government for the civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure resulting from the strikes.
It further warned that attacks targeting civilian infrastructure, including transportation and energy facilities, not only undermine regional stability but also present serious threats to broader global peace and security.
