AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian says Iran will give a stronger and more decisive response if the Zionist regime continues its hostile actions against the Iranian nation.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has never been seeking war, but its armed forces will respond in a stronger way if attacks continue.
“As our armed forces, including forces of the Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, have so far responded appropriately and firmly, they will give even more decisive and harsher responses if hostile actions continue,” Pezeshkian told his cabinet on Sunday afternoon.
He expressed condolences over the martyrdom of a number of top Iranian military commanders and people in the Israeli aggression.
The president emphasized the need for standing against the Israeli aggression which he said shows that the regime is not committed to any humanitarian, legal and international law.
Pezeshkian also criticized Western states, particularly the US and certain European countries, for their silence on the Zionist regime’s criminal actions and support for it.
“Instead of halting these brutal attacks, we are witnessing arms, intelligence, and political support for this regime. The very same planes, missiles, and weapons, which are in the possession of this regime in its aggression against our country, have been supplied by these countries that also provide intelligence support through their radar and military systems,” he said.
Further in his remarks, President Pezeshkian said that Islamic and regional countries are expected to adopt a clear, decisive, and effective stance toward the aggression by the Zionist regime and its supporters, “a regime which pursues any kind of crime in the region without any limitation and with the green light from the United States.”
“What we are witnessing today is happening with direct support of Washington, although the US tries to hide its role through media,” he noted.
President Pezeshkian also said that the Islamic Republic will do all it can to protect the Iranian people, with his administration and all bodies in charge cooperating to render services to the public.
The president emphasized the need for national unity and people’s role on which the government will rely to give an appropriate and strong response to the Zionist regime.
