Hamas calls on Egypt to revisit its accusations against it

Member of Hamas's political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk has called for necessarily ascertaining the validity of the accusations made by Egypt's interior minister, reiterating his Movement's non-interference policy towards other countries.

AhlulBayt News Agency - Member of Hamas's political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk has called for necessarily ascertaining the validity of the accusations made by Egypt's interior minister, reiterating his Movement's non-interference policy towards other countries.

"Considerable efforts had been made to overcome the situation which the relations between Hamas and Egypt were in before the Egyptian interior minister suddenly emerged long after the incident with his accusation that the Movement engineered the assassination of prosecutor general and advisor Hisham Barakat," Abu Marzouk stated in Facebook remarks on Monday.

"Definitely, such accusation is distressing to the resistance, which has always sworn to direct its rifle at no one but the Zionist enemy," he said.

The Hamas official expressed his confidence that neither the Egyptian leadership nor its army would be an enemy to the Palestinian resistance, which fights for the dignity of the Arab nation.
