As the birth anniversary of Imam Reza (AS) approaches, the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) in Qom is hosting special programs in celebration of the auspicious occasion.
They including spiritual events and magnificent ceremonies, attended by prominent Quran reciters, religious preachers and eulogists.
The programs begin Wednesday evening after the Maghrib and Isha prayers with recitation of verses by renowned qari Mehdi Foroughi.
Then Ayatollah Safaei Boushehri will deliver a speech, followed by recitation of the Kumayl Supplication as well as eulogy recitation by Seyed Ali Hosseininejad.
They will be similar events on Thursday morning, noon and evening as well as Friday.
All of these programs will be held at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Shabestan ((a roofed space in a holy shrine).
Shia Muslims all over the world, including in Iran, celebrate Imam Reza’s (AS) birthday anniversary on the 11th day of Dhul Qaada, which falls on May 9 this year.
It will be the end of Karamat Week, which marks the birth anniversaries of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) (April 29) and Imam Reza (AS).
