AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): AbuʿAmr Uways al-Qaranī (Arabic: أبو عَمرو أُوَيس القَرَني) was one of the noblemen of Tabi'un and is known as the example of asceticism and piety. After the demise of the Holy Prophet (s) he was one of the close companions of Imam 'Ali (a). He was martyred in the Battle of Siffin against Mu'awiya. There are some places claimed to be his grave. His most famous tomb is located in the city of Raqqa in Syria, next to the tomb of Ammar Yasir (another great martyr of the Siffin War). In addition to the tomb of Raqqa and this tomb in Kermanshah, a tomb as "Sultan Weiss" in the northern heights of the city of "Qazvin" is also attributed to him.
