Image / Celebration of Imam Mahdi's Birthday at Jamkaran Holy Mosque in Qom -2

Mid-Sha'ban is the 15th day of the eight month of the Islamic Lunar Calendar. It is a spiritual event for all Muslims and many spend it in prayers, recitation of supplication and contemplating. This day also marks the birthday of the 12th Imam, Imam Al- Mahdi who is considered to be the Savior of humanity. It is believed that his future appearance will bring justice, peace and tranquility to the world. For Shia Muslims, Mid- Sha'ban represents the hope for peace and justice among all nations.
