The Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Sayed Mustafa Murtada Aal Dia-Uddin, conducted the flag replacement ceremony.
The staff of the holy shrine placed black flags and banners on the minarets, the corridors of the holy courtyard, the sacred shrine, and the outer wall.
The flag was changed in conjunction with the announcement from the office of His Eminence Sayed Ali al-Husayni al-Sistani that tomorrow, Friday, is the first day of the month of Muharram (1447 AH).
