AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The funeral and burial ceremony of the valiant and self-sacrificing Mujahid, the martyr Sayed Hashem Safieddine, former Secretary-General of Lebanese Hezbollah, was held in the town of Deir Qanoun En Nahr in the Tyre region of Lebanon, with the presence of the Lebanese people and representatives sent by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
Ayatollah Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and a member of the delegation representing the Leader of the Revolution in Lebanon, delivered a speech in Arabic at the burial ceremony of Sayed Hashem Safieddine, emphasizing Iran’s support for Lebanon and its Resistance.
He stated, “The Leader of the Revolution, the officials, and the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, just as they have stood by Lebanon and the Resistance in the past, will continue to stand by you in confronting the Zionist enemy.”
Ayatollah Akhtari continued, “We have come here following the directive of Imam Khamenei to participate in this great sorrow and extend condolences to the people of Lebanon and the Resistance on the martyrdom of two dear martyrs, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayed Hashem Safieddine. Our presence here is to convey Imam Khamenei’s condolences and the sentiments and solidarity of the Iranian people.”
The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “I would like to thank you and appreciate your efforts, and I ask God to grant you great rewards, for you have once again demonstrated your loyalty to Wilayah. With God’s help, the Resistance will prevail; this is a divine promise.”
