AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ayatollah Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, a member of the delegation sent to Lebanon on behalf of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, stated in an interview with KHAMENEI.IR in Beirut, “This sorrowful and historic day marks the funeral of the pure and sacred body of the great martyr of the Resistance, Hujjat al-Islam Allameh Sayed Hassan Nasrallah. I extend my condolences to the people of Lebanon, the world, and all those devoted to Hezbollah and the Resistance.”
He continued, “We have been entrusted with a mission on behalf of the Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei (may God protect him), to attend this ceremony with a delegation, convey his message of condolences and solidarity to the people of Lebanon, and participate in the funeral procession.”
The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “This ceremony will be a historic turning point and will once again demonstrate that the people of Lebanon and admirers of Sayed Hassan Nasrallah and the Resistance from more than 80 countries worldwide will create a great epic with their massive presence.”
“This enormous turnout reflects the stature, popularity, and greatness of this noble martyr, who dedicated his life to jihad, sacrifice, and devotion to the Resistance and stood steadfast on this path until his last moment,” he said.
He emphasized, “As the Supreme Leader has stated, today it will be proven how deeply people love and revere this great figure. Though his body will be laid to rest, his spirit and ideology will remain alive as a symbol of jihad and resistance.”
“The enemies attempted to obstruct this mass gathering by creating obstacles such as visa restrictions and other limitations, yet despite these efforts, people from 80 countries, including Yemen, Iraq, Bahrain, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, have taken part in this ceremony,” he noted.
In conclusion, Ayatollah Akhtari stated, “This historic epic has affirmed the significance of resistance and steadfastness to the people of the world and has demonstrated that the ideology of Hezbollah and the spirit of jihad embodied by Sayed Hassan Nasrallah will persist, something the enemies deeply fear.”
